THE PROJECT & THE PROCUREMENT QUESTION
for charging equipment buyers
V-Green's Vinhomes Riverside hub in Hanoi was reported in October 2026 as Vietnam's largest centralized EV charging station. Zones 1 and 2 were reported to have 814 charging poles and 866 ports in operation, with Zone 3 planned to add 172 ports and bring the total to 1,038 within 2026. Read the dated project report.
For equipment buyers, the project is a useful prompt to review the charging-power mix, site distribution and integration requirements together. The design lessons below are procurement considerations drawn from the published configuration; measured utilization and project economics have not been independently established.

Figures describe the published October 2026 configuration. VietnamBiz's account of the V-Green announcement distinguishes the operating zones from the planned third zone.
PHASED ROLLOUT
Keep operating ports separate from planned capacity
Zones 1–2
814 charging poles. The report describes 866 simultaneous vehicle connections; it does not establish full rated power at every port at the same time.
Zone 3
Completion was expected within 2026 in the dated announcement. This article does not treat that expansion as commissioned.
Full plan
866 + 172 = 1,038 planned ports. Confirm the latest operating status directly with the operator before using it as a procurement benchmark.
THREE SIGNALS FOR BUYERS
The power mix is part of the project design
01
The reported mix combines 22 kW AC with 22 / 60 / 120 kW DC. Longer-dwell locations can evaluate a larger number of moderate-power points, while faster-turnaround locations may need higher-power DC. The choice needs an arrival profile, energy demand and vehicle acceptance data.
02
Transformer interfaces, distribution boards, cable routes, protection and charger installation need one coordinated design. Confirm the lead time and responsible supplier for each package; a common purchasing schedule does not remove commissioning dependencies.
03
The operator's wider network and Vietnam's forthcoming regulation make documentation and integration important RFQ topics. Confirm the exact protocol, enabled functions and conformity route for the ordered equipment.
READ THE ELECTRICAL FIGURES CAREFULLY
answer different questions.
12.8 MVA
4 × 2 × 1,600 kVA = 12,800 kVA
This is the arithmetic total of the reported transformer nameplates. It is an apparent-power figure, not a verified grid import limit.
21.6 MW
Reported project capacity
The available coverage does not explain how this figure relates to transformer capacity, charging diversity or project phasing. Obtain the approved single-line diagram and demand limits before using it in load calculations.
NETWORKS, STANDARDS & SITE DUTY
Use the hub as a reference, then size your own project
The scale of an individual hub should be read alongside its service model. Shell's Shenzhen airport station, for example, opened with 258 public fast-charging terminals and served more than 3,300 vehicles a day during its trial. That is a different comparison from planned parking or connection count. Shell's original announcement.
V-Green's official website currently states a network of more than 155,000 operating charging ports. This is company-stated network information, separate from the hub's dated expansion plan. V-Green company information.
For Vietnam-bound projects, QCVN 32:2026/BCT takes effect on 1 July 2027. Review its scope and the applicable conformity process alongside vehicle, connector and backend requirements; a network-protocol claim alone does not establish compliance. MOIT's official regulation overview.
YOUR NEXT REQUEST FOR QUOTATION
Give suppliers a complete hub brief
Port count, charging-power mix, target vehicles, arrival profile, dwell time, daily energy demand and future expansion.
Supply voltage, approved grid limit, transformer interface, single-line diagram, cable distances, installation environment and responsibilities for switchgear and transformers.
Backend protocol, site-level power management, fault and communication-loss behavior, documentation, model-specific test evidence and destination-market assessment requirements.
SINELINK EQUIPMENT & CONNECTION SCOPE
Where SINELINK fits a new hub project
The reported Hanoi configuration is a starting point for discussing separate export projects. SINELINK can provide relevant charging equipment and cable options, with the exact power, interface, documentation and integration scope confirmed for each order.

60 / 120 kW-class DC

22 kW-class AC

Select the 22 kW three-phase model; verify supply, vehicle AC acceptance and project documentation.

|
Higher-power or distributed DC
|
Match the power architecture to vehicle duty, available grid capacity and required simultaneous operation.

Load management

The listed controller is for compatible residential / small commercial systems. An 800+ port site needs a separately engineered control architecture.
|
|
|
Distribution and project cabling
|
Use PV cable for specified PV circuits only. Confirm charger supply cables, flexible connections and terminations by electrical duty.
|
|
|
Service and spare parts
|
Module compatibility, cooling, communication, electrical range and service procedures.
|
Share the charger and cable scope together so that ratings, quantities and delivery responsibilities can be aligned. Transformer and switchgear supply should be agreed with the parties responsible for those packages.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Frequently asked questions
Q: How many ports does the Hanoi V-Green hub have?
October 2026 coverage reported 866 operating ports across 814 poles in Zones 1 and 2. Zone 3 was planned to add 172 ports, bringing the announced total to 1,038. The planned total is not treated here as already commissioned.
Q: What charger power ratings are reported?
The published mix is 22 kW AC plus 22, 60 and 120 kW DC. Connection count does not establish the full-power simultaneous output of every port.
Q: Who operates the station?
V-Green operates the Vinhomes Riverside charging hub in Hanoi. The project information discussed here comes from dated public reports and company-stated network information.
Q: Is 120 kW DC enough for a public hub?
It depends on vehicle acceptance, energy needed per visit, dwell time, peak arrivals and available site power. Evaluate those inputs before choosing the mix; neither 120 kW nor a higher nameplate rating guarantees the required site throughput.
