EV Charging
AC CHARGING / DC FAST CHARGING / SITE CONTROL
EV Charging Systems for Homes, Workplaces, Fleets and High-Power Sites
Compare SINELINK AC chargers, integrated and split-type DC charging systems, distributed fast-charging platforms, management options and charger power modules.
The right configuration depends on vehicle dwell time, required charging power, available electrical capacity, connector and market requirements, charger quantity, site layout and network-control objectives.

An EV charging system supplies controlled electrical power to an electric vehicle and may also coordinate user access, load allocation, communications, billing interfaces and site-level energy limits. Charger power, vehicle acceptance, electrical supply, connector, communication and installation design must be reviewed together.
Choose the Right EV Charging Product Category
Start with the charging application and site architecture, then verify the exact model, connector, protocol, protection and market-specific configuration.

A charger nameplate does not determine the complete site result. Charging time depends on the charger, vehicle acceptance, battery state, temperature and operating strategy. Confirm the electrical and operational requirements before selecting an exact product.
| Selection factor | Questions to answer |
|---|---|
| Application | Home, workplace, destination, public station, fleet depot or highway site? |
| Vehicles and dwell time | Which vehicles will charge, how long will they remain parked, and what charging interface is required? |
| Electrical supply | Available AC voltage, frequency, phase, transformer capacity and site power limit? |
| Charging power | Required output per connector, simultaneous sessions and future expansion? |
| Architecture | AC, integrated DC, split-type DC or distributed power-sharing system? |
| Control and network | Access method, OCPP or platform needs, load management, payment interface and remote operation? |
| Site and market | Indoor or outdoor location, climate, connector, applicable standards and local installation requirements? |
Match the Charging Architecture to the Site
Homes and private parking: AC wallboxes support routine overnight or long-dwell charging when matched to the property supply and vehicle.
Workplaces and shared parking: networked AC charging and load management can coordinate access and available site power across multiple spaces.
Commercial and fleet sites: DC fast charging can reduce dwell time where the electrical infrastructure and operating schedule support higher output.
Large multi-dispenser stations: distributed systems can share centralized power across charging terminals according to vehicle demand and site strategy.

EV Charging FAQ
What is the difference between AC and DC charging?
AC charging supplies alternating current to the vehicle, which uses its onboard charger for conversion. DC charging converts power in the charging equipment and supplies controlled DC power to the vehicle battery.
Does charger rated power equal the actual vehicle charging rate?
Not always. Actual power also depends on the vehicle, battery state, temperature, connector, site limit and the charger’s operating strategy.
When should a distributed DC fast-charging system be considered?
It can suit larger sites with several charging points where centralized conversion and flexible power allocation support the required traffic pattern and expansion plan.
Why is site power capacity important?
The combined charger demand must be coordinated with the transformer, incoming supply and other site loads. Load management may help allocate available power, but it does not replace electrical design.
Are connector, communication and certification options the same for every charger?
No. They depend on the product family, destination market and ordered configuration. Confirm the required combination before quotation.
