General Photovoltaic Connector Products

Photovoltaic connectors are core electrical connectors used in solar photovoltaic power generation systems to connect key equipment such as photovoltaic modules, combiner boxes, and inverters, and to transmit DC power.

The main types include the widely used MC4 (including models such as MC4-Evo 2 that meet the requirements of 1500V systems) and the earlier MC3. They can be divided into wire-end, branch, and board-end connectors according to application scenarios. These connectors generally possess weather-resistant characteristics such as waterproof, dustproof, high and low temperature resistance, and UV resistance, and can operate for extended periods in environments ranging from -40℃ to +85℃. Their plug-in design facilitates quick installation.

The long-term stability of their contact resistance is directly related to the power generation efficiency and operational safety of the power station. The increase after testing should not exceed 5 mΩ or the final resistance value should be less than 150% of the initial value. Therefore, they must comply with relevant international and regional standards.

During installation and maintenance, it is essential to ensure that all interlocking connectors come from compatible product lines of the same manufacturer. Mixing different brands or models is strictly prohibited. Future connectors need to adapt to higher system voltage and greater current requirements, and improve their adaptability in special scenarios such as floating power plants.
