SOLAR PARKING · EV CHARGING · STORAGE

Make parking space work harder.

Solar Carport Solutions for homes and commercial parking, built around the way your site, vehicles and electricity supply actually work.

SINELINK coordinates carport structures, solar PV equipment, optional EV charging and optional battery storage as one defined project scope-or supplies the structure separately.

Illustrative solar carport solutions with photovoltaic canopy and EV charging bays

Illustrative design. Final structural and electrical scope is confirmed for each project.

THE DESIGN PRINCIPLE

One parking area. Several possible jobs.

A solar canopy places PV generation above a parking area while maintaining its vehicle function. Shade, solar generation and charging access can add value to the same property, but the layout must still work for drivers, pedestrians and maintenance teams.

Rain protection requires a specified roof-joint and drainage design; PV modules alone should not be assumed to form a waterproof roof.

SELECT THE RIGHT STARTING POINT

01

Structure only

For buyers who need the carport mounting structure, agreed structural members, connections, fixing components and drainage accessories.

02

Carport + PV

For a parking area with usable solar exposure and suitable daytime building demand.

03

PV + charging

For workplaces, destinations and fleets where dwell time, vehicle demand and electrical capacity support charging.

04

PV + charging + storage

For sites with a defined reason for storage, such as shifting surplus PV or managing a specific demand peak.

Solar carport solutions planning layout with vehicle access and service space

START WITH THE PHYSICAL SITE

Plan the parking layout before selecting equipment.

Confirm the parking plan, traffic direction, bay dimensions, column positions and minimum vehicle clearance. Coordinate module arrangement and canopy geometry with local structural criteria and ground conditions.

Foundation, drainage, collision protection and service access must be resolved before the layout is released for construction. A separate structure-only package remains available where that is the preferred scope.

ENERGY SYSTEM

A simple route. A project-specific topology.

In a common grid-connected arrangement, the carport PV array supplies an inverter connected to the site AC distribution. Building loads and EV chargers draw from that distribution, with the grid supplying any shortfall. If storage is included, compatible conversion equipment and a controller coordinate charging and discharging.

PV generation → inverter → site AC distribution → building loads / EV charging. Optional storage and controls are added only where the operating objective requires them. The final single-line diagram defines the actual topology, protection, metering and operating modes.

Compare the SINELINK EV charging product range against actual dwell time and site limits; charger nameplate power alone does not determine vehicle charging rate.

CHARGING

Match charging power to dwell time and supply capacity.

Site load management should consider the power remaining after building demand, the desired charging priorities and any relevant grid constraint. OCPP support alone does not prove PV-surplus control or complete energy-management compatibility.

STORAGE

Add storage only for a defined operating objective.

Compare interval site demand and expected PV generation before sizing a battery. Storage may shift surplus PV or manage specific peaks, but it cannot compensate indefinitely for an undersized grid connection.

FAQ

Solar Carport Solutions FAQ

Does every solar carport need EV chargers?
No. A solar carport may serve building loads without EV charging. Include chargers when vehicle demand, dwell time and available electrical infrastructure support a useful charging service.

Can I buy the carport structure separately?
Yes. Confirm structural members, connections, fixing components and drainage accessories in the agreed bill of materials. Electrical equipment is included only when expressly quoted.

Can chargers operate when there is no sunshine?
In a suitable grid-connected configuration, the grid can supply charging within the available site capacity. Outage operation requires a separately engineered power supply and control arrangement.

How many kilowatts of PV can a carport accommodate?
Capacity depends on usable canopy area, module dimensions and ratings, arrangement, shading, structural constraints and electrical design. The number of parking spaces alone does not establish a reliable PV capacity.
