Selection Guide
1. Choose the Cable Size by Current and Cable Length
For short PV string connections, 4 mm² and 6 mm² are commonly used. For longer cable runs or higher current applications, 10 mm², 16 mm², 25 mm², or 35 mm² may be more suitable to reduce voltage drop.
2. Match the System Voltage
This cable is designed for 1500V DC photovoltaic systems. Make sure the connector, combiner box, inverter, and all other DC-side components are also rated for the same system voltage.
3. Consider the Installation Environment
For direct sunlight, rooftop exposure, desert areas, coastal projects, or locations with large temperature changes, choose a UV-resistant XLPO solar cable with suitable insulation thickness and jacket color.
