Five insulated copper conductors in one PVC-sheathed cable. The 3C+2 configuration offers a coordinated cable assembly for low-voltage AC distribution, with a broad choice of main and additional conductor sizes.

01 Cable Construction

Class 2 stranded and compacted copper.
XLPE insulation around each conductor.
Black PVC outer covering; unarmored construction.
Non-hygroscopic filler and non-woven binder tape complete the core assembly beneath the outer sheath.
Understanding XLPE Insulation
XLPE stands for cross-linked polyethylene. Cross-linking creates bonds between polymer chains, helping the insulation retain its structure at elevated temperatures while providing electrical insulation around each conductor.
Thermal Performance
This cable has a maximum normal conductor operating temperature of 90°C. Its emergency and short-circuit temperature limits apply to exceptional conditions, not continuous operation.
Insulation and Sheath
XLPE insulates the individual copper conductors. The black PVC outer sheath covers the assembled cores. These layers serve different functions within the cable construction.
Selecting the Right Cable
XLPE describes the insulation material, not the complete cable specification. Voltage rating, conductor size, installation conditions and any required fire performance must also match the project.

You can select the conductor combination to match the circuit design.
Three main cores and two additional cores are combined within one sheath.
Available combinations range from 3 × 2.5 + 2 × 2.5 mm² to 3 × 400 + 2 × 185 mm².
