Project Overview
The Shandong Huadian Tai'an Feicheng Humen Phase II 10MW PV Project is a mountain-based solar power installation located in Tai'an, Shandong Province, China. Built on complex mountain terrain, the project was designed to make effective use of local solar resources while adapting to challenging site conditions.
Unlike flat-ground solar projects, mountain PV installations require careful consideration of terrain differences, cable routing, installation safety, and long-term outdoor performance. Reliable electrical components are essential to ensure stable DC power transmission across the PV field.
Project Challenges
Mountain solar projects often face more demanding construction and operation conditions. In this project, the main challenges included uneven terrain, longer and more complex cable layouts, outdoor exposure, temperature variations, and higher requirements for installation reliability.
The electrical connection system needed to withstand long-term UV exposure, changing weather conditions, and mechanical stress during installation. At the same time, the project required components that could support efficient construction and reduce maintenance risks during future operation.
